Type 2 Diabetes Risk Dissertation – According to the World Health Organization, Type-2 Diabetes and stress are global pandemics, with the percentage of affected individuals rising annually. Notably, newly diagnosed cases among Asian and African ethnic communities in the UK have seen a substantial increase, reaching up to 8.5 percent annually. This upward trend underscores the severity of the condition. However, it’s crucial to understand that Type-2 Diabetes is heavily influenced by lifestyle choices rather than being a solely genetic condition. This research focuses on UK residents of Asian and African descent aged 40-60, aiming to investigate the risk factors contributing to the high prevalence of Diabetes in this demographic.
